The creation of the 4th X-Event 2 is part of the construction and production of a presentation of all 7 protocols at the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Lyon. Each partner (CAC Brétigny for X-Event 2.1 and the entire X-Event 2 project / CAC le Parc Saint Léger for X-Event 2.2 / Domaine départemental de Chamarande for X-Event 2.3 / Centre international d'art et du paysage de l’île de Vassivière for X-Event 2.4) is involved as a producer of a process started in 2005.

For the Ciap de Vassivière, Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet (les gens d'Uterpan) propose the creation of the protocol Courses. The isolated situation of the building in the countryside, its imposing presence and reference to religious architecture have an immediate effect upon the visitor, that of adapting an interior, ponderous attitude.

The proposition involves connecting the outside with the inside by indicating the organic and rythmic reference points of the the site and its visitors, and confronting them with the active energy of the dancers' sprinting, their racing that produces noises such as out-of-breath panting, the slapping of feet that activates the incessant, rapid crossing of paths which progressively reaches the ultimate limits of physical resistance.
